On August 29, 2016, Sinopec announced that It made a major breakthrough in Tarim Shunbei oil exploration, Shunbei oil field is located in the middle west of the Tarim basin, the amount of resources reaches 1.7 billion tons, of which 1.2 billion tons of oil, 500 billion m³ of natural gas. The major oil and gas exploration breakthrough brought warmth to the oil industry in the winter.
Earlier, in 2015 the Shunbei 1-1H well have been tested for high and stable oil production, with daily production of 185-ton crude oil and 90 thousand-m3 natural gas, and is a high quality crude oil. Thereafter, Sinopec erected 6 wells in the region with respectively more than one hundred tons of daily production.
The resources of the Shunbei oil field is almost equivalent to last year's new proven crude oil and natural gas geological reserves in China, so we have to say that the resources of the Shunbei oil field is so amazing.
In addition, the comparison of major oil and gas discoveries in China over the past year, the amount of resources in Shunbei oil field is also deserved to be called stunning.

In August 2016, in Shengli Oilfield a uncompartmentalized heavy oil reservoir was found when the western oil exploration, new reserves reached nearly 10 million tons.
In July 2016, China Geological Survey Bureau announced the discovery of large shale oil and gas fields in Zunyi of Guizhou Province, with the estimated reserves of hundreds of billions of cubic meters.
In May 2015, Changqing Oilfield found China's first large uncompartmentalized oil field of 100-million tons in Jiyuan of Northern Shaanxi.
